Moon Gardening Planting Dates August 2015. Grow with the Moon!

Hello and Welcome to August,

We now enter the last month of winter and already the buds are fat and luscious with spring promise. Here is the link to the complete Earth Moon and Stars newsletter …. 2015 8 August Earth Moon and Stars with Kerry Galea print version

but if you just want a quick peek at the Moon planting, here it is….

Gazing out the window I can see the veggie patch and this month the lemon and grapefruit has started producing enmass, the broad beans are brilliant, whilst the recent frosts have slowed down everything else. The spinach under shelter is still producing well and the chooks have found the parsley to be tasty!

The yellow and orange Chinese Lanterns hanging over the fence look fantastic and bloom beautifully in this cold weather.

Over the last few weeks I pruned the hedge at a time perfect to prune to minimize growth and I pruned the roses at a time perfect to increase growth and I must admit I am looking forward to spring warmth!  Kerry 🙂

Moon Gardening in Harmony with Mother Nature

Hello and Welcome to the first month of Winter,

I look out my window to see the broad beans, carefully fenced off from the chooks, growing well. I see a pile of compost, lucerne hay and straw ready to lay down and over the frost I see the sun hitting the hills. What a beautiful day and to tell you the truth, even if it were pouring rain, it would still be a beautiful day.

Moon Gardening Workshop

Thank you for the flowers!

I was given this great bunch of flowers after my latest workshop in Moon Gardening. Notice the new way they have of dyeing the rose and I found out that they split the stem and dip each split into different dye pots. The rose, quite naturally, does not like this and after dyeing.. it dies…. quicker than normal cut roses.

Apparently it is not new and one has been done before… so this new fashion trend is not so new at all. Then again, is any fashion really new.

Enjoy your day.
